Penerapan Peralatan Monitoring Hidrologi Pada Berbagai Luas Sub Daerah Aliran Sungai di Kabupaten Karanganyar

Abstract (English) :
A reliable equipment for monitoring hydrological parameters is needed for evaluating catchment health and impact of the land rehabilitation and soil conservation program. The size of cathment to be monitored is variable, it depends on the size of the land rehabilitation and soil conservation activity in the field. Therefore, the equipment and construction to be used will be different for small or large catchment. The typical equipment and construction for hydrological monitoring on various catchment size, i.e. 9, 25, 54, 80, and 136 hectares, have been conducted in Dumpul sub watershed. The results show that the equipment for hydrological monitoring on catchment of 10 ha or less will be effective by contructing V Notch weir with 60º angle and equiped by suspended sedimen sampler. For large catchment (>10 ha) V Notch weir with 90º and 135º angle are more effective. Hydrological monitoring ideally should be accompanied by Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR).
