Identifikasi Kekeruhan Air Waduk Gadjah Mungkur Dengan Menggunakan Citra Digital Landsat 7 Etm+

Abstract (English) :
Sediment is transported by water and related to soil erosion. The impact of sediment deposition will reduce the depth of river channel, dam and carrying capacity of the water. Consequently, floods can occur in the lower zone of watershed. Therefore, it is very important to monitor suspended sediment in a dam regularly. Conventionally, measurement of suspended sediment is time consuming and expensive. Satellite remote sensing such as landsat 7 ETM+ can be used to solve the problem. All visible and near infra red bands of landsat 7 ETM+ were used and analyzed digitally. The result showed that percentage of reflectance in all 6 bands tended to increase along with increase of sediment concentration, especially band 2 seemed to be more sensitive to sediment concentration than the other bands.
