Penggunaan Arang dan Pupuk Kandang Untuk Peningkatan Produktivitas Lahan Bekas Tambang Kapur

Abstract (English) :
The loss of top soil, nutrients content and decrease of land productivity are problems found in lime mining trace land To rehabilitate and improve land productivity of such critical land, are required some nutrients input. This study was designed to examine the corn productivity in the abandoned lime mining land, and it was done in Kabupaten Klaten, Central Java Randomized complete block experimental design with four treatments and three replications was applied in this research. The treatments were rice husk charcoal, charcoal of palm stem sawdust and manure 5 ton/ha/year and the last was control, (farming system done by the local farmers). Beside the treatments inputs mention above, Mucuna, sp, was planted, as a rehabilitation plant. Corn was planted with spacing of 75 cm x 50 cm, Two months later, Mucuna, sp was planted in between the corn in the treatments plots. Comparing the control, the applied treatments increased the corn production, but it was not significantly different. The mean of dry corn grain production of the rice husk charcoal, charcoal of palm stem sawdust, manure treatments and the control were 4195; 4312; 4162 and 2809 kg/ha/planting season, respectively. As well as the corn grain production, the corn biomass production in the treatments plots were higher than that in the control plot. The dry corn biomass production of the rice husk charcoal, charcoal of palm stem sawdust, manure treatments and the control were 9490, 8447, 8649 and 6079 kg/ha/planting season, respectively. The nutrients returning of corn biomass for a planting season and Mucuna, sp, for 35 days were 5615; 4547; 4744 kg/ha C organic; 222, 185 and 196 kg/ha N; 143; 119; 124 kg/ha P205 and 57; 49; 51 kg/ha K20, sequency for the treatments of rice husk charcoal, charcoal of palm stem sawdust and manure.
