Hubungan Antara Bentuk Tajuk Dengan Zona Perakaran dalam Sistem Pola Agroforestri (Studi Kasus Lahan Miring di Pulutan Wetan Wonogiri)

The roots of the plant itself is an organ to sustain plant growth for soil conservation roots but intended to strengthen aggregation of soil from the ground is getting stronger and not prone to land degradation. The function of the roots according to Uddin et.al (2009), among others, to attach the plant to the media (soil) because the roots have the ability to break through layers of soil, and absorb salts, minerals, and water, through the root hairs, the water goes into plant body. The purpose of this study was to look at the relationship between the shape canopy and root zone of plant roots as well as the composition of cashew, mango and teak .. The method used is to identify and measure the composition of the root spread and form an editorial. Analysis using Rooty Short Ratio (SRT). SRT is a comparison between canopy volume stems with rooting volume, the greater the ratio the more wide SRT canopy that would shade or interfere with the crop plants such as banana underneath. From the three types of plants are the most widely root root fibers are fibers sequentially teak (Tectona grandis), banana (parkia speciosa Hassk), and cashew (Anacardium occidentale). Deployment and composition of small teak roots (young) more spread out laterally and their composition more hairy roots, and conversely the less developed roots on a banana plant roots dominated the vertical (riding). Development of roots was relatively similar for all three. But for a different age then it would seem a very real difference in the level of 1 % and also test the interaction of age with different plant species. In this case farther spacing of the SRT value (Root Shoot Ratio) will be higher as the young Teak plant with a spacing of 5x9 m (AIB2C3) which has the highest value of 3.32. So also for rare plants with spacing of 5x9 m, the SRT will be higher, it means the stems of plants grow faster than the development of roots. The relationship between canopy shape and the rooting zone showed that the vast vast canopy and aligned to the plant rooting zone of teak and cashew, while for banana plants show patterns that are not aligned, this is caused by more banana roots pointing downwards or vertically penetrated so widely narrower roots.
