Hydrological Performance of Teak Forest Watershed at Cepu,Central Java

Abstract (English) :
Watershed performance should be evaluated by using criteria such as hydrology, land and social economic criteria. Hydrological criteria consist of some indicators such as river regime coefficient, runoff coefficient, water use index, sedimentation, coefficient of variance and water quality. The aim of the research is to evaluate the performance of teak forest watershed from hydrological criteria. The method used watershed approach. The hydrological indicators are measured directly in the field and in the laboratory. The performance index of watershed is varying from < 1.7 (good) to > 4.3 (bad). The result shows that the hydrology performance of teak forest watershed is moderate with score of 2.75. Some hydrological indicators have bad scores such as river regime coefficient, water use index, and coefficient of variance. The hydrological performance in the teak forest watershed was also influenced by natural factors such as geological formation or parent material of soil. In order to get fairness valuation of watershed performance, the score of hydrological indicators should be differentiated based on geological formation.
